Logistics Databank Service starts at Kolkata Port Trust

Kolkata, Dec 3 (IBNS): A Logistics Databank Service has been launched by Kolkata Port Trust (KoPT) at Kolkata on Saturday. 

Chairman of KoPT Vineet Kumar formally inaugurated the new facility and said, this project will make use of radio frequency identification technology.

The aim of having a Logistics Data Bank is to track and view the movement of containers across ports to the Container Freight Stations and Inland Container Depots and end-users, he further informed.

This project is being implemented in KoPT by Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (DMICDC).

The dignitaries present on the occasion included CEO & MD of DMICDC Alkesh Kumar Sharma.
