New Delhi, Dec 7 (IBNS): The results aren't out yet, but if majority of the exit polls are any indication, the Modi wave appears to have hit a roadblock in Congress.

Most exit polls have predicted a Congress win in both Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. In Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram the contest is expected to be neck-to-neck. The polls have also predicted a TRS victory in Telangana.

CHHATTISGARH

All major exit polls on Friday predicted a win for the Congress party in Chhattisgarh, which the BJP currently rules.

According to India Today-Axis My India exit polls, Congress is expected to win 55-65 seats of the 90-member Assembly. As per their enumeration, the BJP will manage 21-31 seats.

The Republic-C-Voters has claimed that the Congress will bag 40-50 assembly seats and BJP will get 35-43.

News Nation has predicted 40-44 for Congress and 38-42 seats for BJP.

However, the India Today-My India exit polls claimed that BJP will win once again in the state by bagging 40-52 seats while Congress is expected get 32-38 seats.

Times Now-CNX has also come out with similar results with BJP registering a win by managing 46 seats and Congress securing only 35 of them.

RAJASTHAN

The Congress is expected to come to power in Rajasthan as well, another state that the BJP currently rules.

According to the India Today-My India exit polls, in the 200-member Assembly, the Congress is projected to get a maximum of 141 seats, and a minimum of 119. Both are above the halfway mark. The exit polls predicts that the BJP will get only 55 to 72 seats. If the numbers hold, then the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will get 1-3 seats, and three to 8 seats will go to others.

Times Now-CNX Exit Poll results also give Congress the edge in Rajasthan. Congress is likely to lead with 105 seats while the BJP is expected to win 85 seats and BSP 2. Seven seats are likely to go to Others.

MADHYA PRADESH

Exit polls on Friday predicted a close contest between the BJP and Congress in Madhya Pradesh.

According to the India Today-My India exit polls, the Congress is expected to win 104-122 seats in the 231-seat Assembly while the incumbent BJP will get 102-120 seats. Mayawati's BSP is expected to win between one and three seats.

The Times Now-CNX Exit Poll says the BJP is expected to grab 126 seats, Congress 89, BSP 6 and Others 9.

BJP is the ruling party in the state now.

TELANGANA

Exit polls have given a clear edge to Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), which now rules Telangana.

According to India Today-Axis My India poll, TRS will get 79-91 seats while Congress-led alliance will win 21-33. The BJP will only bag between one and three seats.

Republic C-Voter has predicted 48-60 seats for the TRS, 49-50 for Congress-led alliance and five for the BJP.

According to the Times Now-CNX enumeration, TRS will bag 66, Congress-led alliance will manage 37 and the BJP seven.

MIZORAM

The northeastern state will have its first hung Assembly this time, if exit polls are to be believed.

The Republic TV- CVoter shows a hung house with an advantage for the Opposition Mizo National Front (MNF) in the 40-member House.

The CNX - Times Now poll predicts a similar scenario with 18 seats for MNF and 16 for Congress leaving 6 for Others, who might turn kingmakers in such a case.

Congress rules MIzoram now.
