New Delhi, Dec 9 (IBNS): The Delhi High Court on Monday will hear a PIL which seeks entry of women in sanctum sanctorum of Nizamuddin Dargah in Delhi.

On Dec 6, a group of female law students moved a plea in the Delhi High Court seeking directions to the Centre and other authorities to permit entry of women to the sanctum sanctorum of Dargah.

There is a notice put up in English and Hindi outside the Dargah that women are not allowed inside.

In their petition, the law students have claimed that they have taken up the matter with several authorities including the Delhi police but did not receive any response.

The plea has been filed through advocate Kamlesh Kumar Mishra.

It seeks directions to Centre, Delhi government, police and the trust managing  the shrine to allow entry of women to the Dargah and set up similar guidelines.

The students have also sought a declaration that the ban on entry of females to the Dargah as "unconstitutional".
