Assembly polls: Congress ahead in Rajasthan, close fight in MP, Chhattisgarh
Bhopal/Jaipur, Dec 11 (IBNS): As per early trends, Congress is slightly ahead of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Rajasthan as counting of votes for the assembly polls in five Indian states is currently going on Tuesday.
In the 199-member Rajasthan Assembly, Congress is leading in 14 seats while the BJP is ahead in seven.
In the politically crucial Madhya Pradesh, the Congress and BJP are engaged in a neck-to-neck battle. The Congress is ahead in six seats while are BJP is leading in five.
The BJP is currently ruling the 230-member assembly.
TRS is ahead in 12 seats in the 119-member Telangana assembly.
The Congress is standing in the second spot as they are leading in three seats.
Chhattisgarh is witnessing another close fight as the Congress is ahead in seven seats while the BJP is leading in six. Mayawati's BSP is ahead in three.
