New Delhi, Jan 6 (IBNS): Police have arrested a 42-year-old man for allegedly shooting and killing his eight-year-old son while participating in celebratory firing in northeast Delhi's New Usmanpur, media reports said.

During the celebratory firing, the child, named Rehan, got hit on his right cheek.

He was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved.

It was during the investigation that the father, identified as Yasin, emerged as the prime accused.

Yasin confessed that a bullet from his gun accidentally hit his son who was present in the vicinity.
