Patna, Jan 9 (The Bihar Post/IBNS): A local court in Bihar on Tuesday ordered for registration of a case against Bollywood actor Anupam Kher and 13 other artists associated with the upcoming movie “The Accidental Prime Minister” for reportedly showing former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in poor light.

The biographical movie directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte is based on the tenure of former prime minister Singh.

Last week, the complainant had rushed to the court with his complaint against the movie over its alleged malicious contents.

The case was filed in the local Muzaffarpur court on Jan 2 by none other than Ojha, the man who has dragged hundreds of dignitaries to the court over matters.

In the case filed in the court of chief judicial magistrate, the entire lot of actors, from Anum Kher who plays the role of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to others who played the role of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gadnhiand Priyanka Gandhi were made accused in the case.

“I felt hurt upon viewing the promos of the movie, set for release on January 11, on TV channels and YouTube,” was how the complainant told the media while filing the case.

Later, the court has admitted the case and fixed January 8 to hear the case.

“The Accidental Prime Minister” is an upcoming 2019 Indian biographical film directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and written by Mayank Tewari, based on the 2014 memoir of the same name by Sanjaya Baru.
