Solapur, Jan 9 (IBNS): Visiting Solapur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday appreciated the move of passing the Bill which is providing 10 percent reservation to economically weak upper castes in the Lok Sabha and called it 'historic'.

He said the passing of the bill strengthened his government's motto of 'Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas'.

"Yesterday late night, a historic Bill was passed in Lok Sabha. By passing the Bill which is connected with the 10 percent reservation being granted to economically weaker section in the general category, our principle of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ was further strengthened," Modi said.

He also touched the issue of Lok Sabha passing the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill and said the rights of those belonging to Assam state are not going to be 'compromised'.

Agusta Westland  attack:

Modi also attacked the Congress over the the AgustaWestland deal.

He said the alleged middleman of the Agusta Westland deal Christian Michel was also involved in other deals.

"Several newspapers have mentioned that the middleman of helicopter deal who has been brought to India from a foreign country was not only involved in the helicopter deal, but also in the France fighter jet deal of the previous government," he said.

"Was it for Michel mama that the deals were stopped," he said.

"The people of the nation are wanting an answer to all these questions," he said.
