Vibrant Gujarat has emerged as a global platform: Narendra Modi
Gandhinagar, Jan 18 (IBNS): Highlighting India and his Gujarat as a business destination to the world leaders, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday addressed Vibrant Gujarat and said the state represented the best of 'business spirit'.
"Vibrant Gujarat has emerged as a global platform. Gujarat represents the best of business spirit," Modi said as he addressed the summit, which is attended by several top industrialists and global leaders.
"We are honoured by the presence of many Heads of State and Government and several other distinguished delegates.This shows that international bilateral cooperation is no longer limited to national capitals, but now extends to our state capitals as well," he said.
Modi showcased the development works of his government as he addressed at the summit and said: " In the last 4 years, we have jumped 65 places in the Global Ranking of World Bank’s Doing Business Report."
Modi said his government has focussed into building new institution in the nation in the last four years.
"From the start of business to its operation and closure, we have paid attention in building new institutions, processes and procedures," he said.
The 9th edition of Vibrant Gujarat Summit is currently underway at Mahatma Mandir Exhibition cum Convention Centre in Gandhinagar.
Vibrant Gujarat Summit will be held in the city from Jan 18 to Jan 20.
In addition to the flagship events organized as part of Vibrant Gujarat, the 9th edition of the Summit will also witness the launch of a completely new set of forums aimed at diversifying the nature of knowledge sharing at the Summit, and intensifying the level of networking between participants.
