Rahul Gandhi targets Narendra Modi over his 'bachao bachao' jibe
New Delhi, Jan 20 (IBNS): Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday attempted to hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his "Bachao, Bachao" mimicry and said it was the voice of the people "begging to be freed" from his rule.
"Your Highness, The cries for help are the cries of millions of unemployed youth; of farmers in distress; of oppressed Dalits & Adivasis; of persecuted minorities; of small businessmen in ruin; begging to be freed from your tyranny & incompetence. In 100 days they will be free," Gandhi tweeted.

Modi attacks grand alliance:
Modi on Saturday said the grand alliance of regional parties was not only against him but also against the people of this country.
Speaking at an event in Silvassa as the United India rally was under way in Kolkata, Modi had said: "My action against corruption have infuriated some people. It is only natural for them to be angry because I have prevented them from looting public money. Consequently, they have now formed an alliance called mahagathbandhan.”
“This grand alliance is not just against me but the people of this country," he said. "All of them haven’t come together yet but they are already negotiating their share in the spoils of power.”
“A party with only one MLA (in West Bengal) is giving them sleepless nights. This is because we are followers of truth... Today, the entire opposition has come together and is shouting ‘bachao, bachao, bachao’,” he said.
