West Bengal CM is trying to protect a corrupt officer: Yogi Adityanath targets Mamata Banerjee from Purulia rally

Purulia, Feb 5 (IBNS): Visiting Purulia by road, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee while addressing a rally and said the TMC supremo was trying to protect a "corrupt officer” in the Saradha scam.

“The chief minister is trying to protect a corrupt officer in the case Sharada chit fund scam," Yogi said.

"Now, the Supreme Court has paved the way for proper investigation," he said addressing a rally in Purulia.

Referring to Mamata Banerjee's comment directed towards him where she said that the UP CM should 'manage his state first, Yogi said: " I want to tell her that UP is well managed.”

Mamata is currently sitting on a dharna against CBI's action against Kolkata Police chief Rajeev Kumar since Sunday.

SC order:

Meanwhile,  earlier this morning, the  Supreme Court ordered Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar to appear before the CBI in the Sarada chit fund scam case.

The court said no coercive action would be taken against Kumar. 

Yogi arrives in Purulia via road:

After he was denied to land his chopper in South Dinajpur district in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Purulia via roadway to address a rally in the state.

According to reports, Adityanath first landed in Jharkhand and then took roadways to reach Purulia. 

Mamata asks Yogi to take care of his state first:

Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee, who is currently on a dharna in Kolkata since Sunday against CBI move against Kolkata Police chief Rajeev Kumar, told reporters when asked about Yogi's rally: "Ask Yogi to take care of Uttar Pradesh first."
