Srinagar, Feb 18 (IBNS): Days after over 40 paramilitary personnel were martyred in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama, four soldiers including an officer were killed in an overnight encounter with Pakistan-based militant organisation, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), in the same district, media reports said.

Two other soldiers were also injured in the encounter.

After getting an input that JeM militants were hiding in the Pinglan area, army, police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel had launched a search operation.

The firing is still on as few terrorists are believed to be hiding.

A civilian was also killed.
