Seoul, Feb 21 (UNI/IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said he has always held Korea as a 'role model' for economic growth and thus would like to see that more and more South Korean businessmen turn their attention to India.

Addressing a symposium attended by top South Korean business leaders here, Prime Minister said he also sees South Korea as 'natural partner' for India in pushing the economic growth which is inclusive and result oriented.

"I want to see more and more Korean businessmen turn their attention to India," he said adding during his stint as Chief Minister of Gujarat also he has always looked at the Korean spirit of entrepreneurship.

"Korea for me was and remains a role model for economic growth," he said.

Prime Minister India is one of the most promising country for Foreign Direct Investment where red-tapism has been replaced by red carpets. "As as result, we have attracted FDI worth 250 Billion US dollars in last three years," he said.

Prime Minister launched the India Korea Start Hub and said this would provide a meeting centre for Indian talent and Korean Start Up ventures.

Mr Modi also pointed out that his government is laying lot of emphasis on ensuring 'inclusive' growth in the country.

To ensure this, Prime Minister said at least new 300 million bank accounts have been opened who never had one.

"Now as a result 99 per cent of Indian houses have bank accounts and already 12 billion US dollars have been deposited in these accounts," Mr Modi said.

During his stay in South Korea, Mr Modi will be conferred upon with the 2018 Seoul Peace Prize at a ceremony to be organised by the Seoul Peace Prize Cultural Foundation on Friday "in recognition of his national and international contributions".
