HP CM Jai Ram Thakur inaugurates Rozgar Mela in Mandi

Shimla, Feb 22 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Friday inaugurated Rozgar Mela at Mandi, organized under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna by the National Kaushal Vikas Nigam and Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that skill development is one of the major issue the country is facing according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the State government is also ensuring skill upgradation of the youth.

Thakur said that the state government was also ensuring that maximum employment opportunities were generated in government sector.

He also ensured that every youth should get employed under the HP Kaushal Vikas Nigam in order to maintain better coordination with the industry sector.

As many as thirty companies were participating in this Rozgar Mela and the target has been fixed to provide employment to at least two thousand youth of the region.

He said that the main objective of organising this Mela was to provide employment opportunities among youth and also urged the youth to inculcate spirit of competitiveness in order to achieve success in their lives.

Member of Parliament Ram Swaroop Sharma said that around 1.50 lakh youth should be skilled under the skill development programme in the state in coming time.

National Skill Development Corporation State Head, Jitender Sharma while welcoming the Chief Minister said that 24,000 youths have been trained under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna in the State, till date.
