Kolkata: CISF detects 2 gold bars worth 10 lakh NSCBI Airport

New Delhi, Feb 26 (UNI/IBNS) The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Tuesday detected two gold bars worth around Rs 10 lakh at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International airport Kolkata.

According to CISF, around 1424 hrs on February 26, during pre-embarkation security check at security hold area of Airport, a CISF personnel noticed the presence of metal in a upper body part of a passenger.

The passenger who was wearing a wig, was asked to remove the wig. On removal, two gold bars weighing 332.82 gms were found concealed in his wig.
The passenger was identified as Syed Asaruddin Jamal Mohamed, a resident of Tiruchirappalli was supposed to travel to Chennai from Kolkata by a scheduled flight.

“Later, the said passenger along-with the recovered gold bars was handed over to Customs Officials for further legal action in the matter”, the CISF said in a statement.
