The deceased person was identified as Zakir Hossain, 50.

The deceased, Zakir Hossain, 50, succumbed to his injuries at the Intensive Care Unit of DMCH’s burn unit around 8:30am, resident surgeon of the hospital's burn unit Partha Sankar Pal told The Daily Star newspaper of Bangladesh.

In one of the major fire tragedies to hit the Muslim majority nation on Feb 20, several people were killed as the blaze, which originated in a chemical warehouse on the ground floor of the five-storey building named Hazi Wahed Mansion, left the country shocked.

Thirty-seven units of firefighters from 13 fire stations worked hard for hours to bring the flames under control.
