India needs Modi to make it stronger: BS Yeddyurappa

Tumakuru, Mar 2 (UNI/IBNS) Stating that the country was emerging stronger under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the former Chief minister and the state BJP president B S Yeddyurappa had urged the party workers to work hard to ensure maximum number of MPs elected from Karnataka.

Speaking after inaugurating the party workers Bike rally here on Saturday, the BJP leader, exhorted the party workers to give focus on mobilizing all sections of people in the society at each and every polling stations level and ensure maximum number of Party MPs will get elected from the state in the coming elections.

“Prime minister Narendra Modi had set a target to secure an absolute majority in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, and to achieve it we have to strive hard in winning the hearts of the people” he said.

Taking vow that he will not take rest till the elections are over Yeddyurappa said,“We have already completed the Modi Vijaya Sankalpa Yathra in 10 Lok Sabha seats and in the next seven weeks will be covering in all the 28 Constituencies.”

Stating that the process of shortlisting the party nominees to contest the Lok Sabha elections in the state will be finalized soon, he said, “BJP’s national president Amit Shaw will visit next week to the state to complete the process.”

Referring to the reports about fielding Smt Sumalatha, the former Cine star and wife of the former union minister Ambharish, he said,“The issue has not been discussed in the party forum”.

Party MLA, Jyotiganesh, former MP G S Basavaraju, former MLA, Dr M R Hulinaikar were also present on the occasion.
