Mumbai, Mar 6 (UNI/IBNS) Police have registered an offence of molestation against a principal of a reputed college in Vile Parle for allegedly sexually harassing a 45-year-old consulting professor.

Juhu police have registered the offence after, the incident came into limelight when the 45-year-old consulting professor lodged a sexual harassment complain against him last month.

The woman had alleged that the principal molested her while she was shaking hands with him. But the accused has said the case has been registered with malafide intention and allegations are entirely baseless and incorrect.

The accused also added the woman is trying to blackmail him and she wants to defame him and the institution.

The principal has on Wednesday moved an anticipatory bail application before the court which is yet to come up for hearing.
