Lucknow, Mar 7 (IBNS): Men allegedly belonging to a  fringe right-wing outfit beat up two  dry fruit vendors from Kashmir in Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow on Wednesday, media reports said.

The assault video has reportedly gone viral on the social media.

The two men, who were assaulted, have been selling dry fruits in the city for many years, reports said.

As per NDTV report, the incident happened at 5 pm yesterday and the men who assaulted the traders can be heard in mobile videos saying that are doing it because they are from Kashmir.

Locals reportedly rushed to the spot and rescued the two men.

The police have arrested one person.

A case has been registered into the matter.

News of Kashmiri people being beaten up have emerged from several parts of the nation since the Pulwama attack in Kashmir which left 40 Indian paramilitary force personnel killed in a terrorist attack incident.
