Kolkata, Mar 8 (IBNS): Almost launching the Lok Sabha poll campaign for her party Trinamool Congress (TMC), West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday trained her guns against Prime Minister Narendra Modi accusing him of robbing off the country.

"Not only the Rafale files. Narendra Modi robbed off the country," Banerjee, who held a rally on the occasion of the International Women's Day, said.

Recently, Centre told the Supreme Court that the Rafale documents, which has been cited by petitioners in the court, went missing, prompting the opposition to launch a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Accusing Modi of destroying institutions, Banerjee said: "CBI chairman, RBI chairman resigned. He has destroyed all institutions."

Bringing back the airstrike incident, the Chief Minister, despite India's strong action against terrorism post-Pulwama attack, said: "Where were your thoughts about combating terrorism for five years? Why Uri, Pathankot terror attacks took place? Why jawans were martyred even after having intelligence inputs?"

"We will bring new Kashmir policy after coming to power," she added almost predicting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s defeat in the 2019 General Elections.

Drawing criticism from the BJP, Banerjee had earlier questioned the number of terrorists killed in the airstrike, which was carried out by the Indian Air Force (IAF) as a response to the Pulwama terror attack, which had left at least 40 Indian paramilitary personnel martyred.

The Election Commission is likely to announce the dates for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls on Mar 11.
