Lucknow, Mar 11 (UNI) Alleging that the BJP deceived the public by making false promises before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Monday said that BJP should reply on their promise of ‘Achhe Din’ (Better days).

On social media platform, the BSP president said that BJP was trying to misguide and divert the public's attention from basic issues. The BJP claims that its poll plank would be national security and nationalism but the party is quiet on promises made during last elections, she tweeted.

She tweeted “BJP relying on nationalism and national security as LS poll issue ignoring much-touted issue of Vikas. No problem but BJP first satisfy masses what happened to poll promise of Achche din to crores of poor, labourers, farmers, unemployed.”

The BSP president also slammed BJP for denying simultaneous Assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir. She alleged that it was failure of Modi government’s Kashmir policy. She suggested that the armed forces were capable of executing polls simultaneously in Jammu and Kashmir.

After announcement of dates for Lok Sabha polls, Ms Mayawati had stated that elections must be conducted with pious constitutional intentions. She said that people from every section of society take part in the biggest democratic festival of India and arrangements should be made that credibility of public should be maintained.
