Gandhinagar, Mar 12 (IBNS): Visiting Gujarat, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who joined active politics recently, addressed a rally and made her debut speech as Congress general secretary on Tuesday where she urged people to think before casting their votes during the Lok Sabha polls.

This was Priyanka's debut speech and first public rally since joining active politics.

Priyanka tried to corner Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the issue of job creation and said: "Ask those who speak about big dreams that what happened to the jobs that were promised?"

"You should consider the vote as your weapon," she said as she addressed the rally in Modi's home turf.

Priyanka Gandhi is currently visiting Gujarat for the Congress Working Committee meeting.

"You should be aware of what is happening in the country. You should think that this nation belongs to you and you have to develop it," she said.

"We need to protect the nation and work to develop the country together," she said.

Priyanka joined active politics at a time when the nation is gearing up for the Lok Sabha polls.
