Mysuru, Mar 12(UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Karnataka Vice President V Srinivas Prasad on Tuesday claimed that victory of his party candidate from Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha is certain irrespective of who is contesting against.

“We are not unduly worried that JD(S) wants to field former Prime Minister and JDS National President H D Devegowda. We are well prepared for the victory of our candidate," he added.

Speaking to newsmen on the sidelines of a function organised at the University of Mysore (UoM) here, he said that "there is nothing to be scared of. Let anyone from JD(S) or Congress contest from here, we are ready for the battle. Don’t forget, at present, the seat is held by BJPs Pratap Simha. We are confident of winning.”

When his attention was drawn to Hassan Lok Sabha Constituency from where Minister H D Revanna’s son Prajwal is contesting, he said that “we are planning to field A Manju who is quite popular in that region. I will be talking to the party high command to give the ticket to Manju from Hassan. Manju, who is unhappy with the turn of events in Congress, is in talks with the BJP leaders to switch loyalty.”

On Chamarajanagar LS Constituency, Prasad said the party is likely to finalise the candidate in the next couple of days. The veteran leader also revealed that he would be spearheading the campaign in Chamarajanagar Constituency.
