Delhi Court allows Directorate of Enforcement to question Christian Michel inside Tihar
New Delhi, Mar 12 (UNI) A Delhi Court on Tuesday allowed Directorate of Enforcement to question inside Tihar Jail Christian Michel, British businessman and alleged middleman in the AgustaWestland case.
CBI has alleged that Michel has entered into about 12 contracts with AgustaWestland to legitimise the illicit commission/ kickbacks of Euro 42.27 million received on procurement of VVIP helicopters by Government of India. After CBI, Directorate of Enforcement also initiated proceedings against Michel under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.
Michel was first time produced before CBI court on December, 5 after extradited to India from Dubai and now he is in judicial custody.
Special Judge Arvind Kumar today after hearing allowed the Directorate of Enforcement to question Christian Michel inside Tihar Jail.
