Patna, Mar 12 (UNI) Patna High Court today granted regular bail to suspended JD (U) MLA and former Bihar social welfare minister Manju Verma in connection with recovery of cartridges from her residence during a CBI raid.

After hearing arguments of both sides, a single bench of Dinesh Kumar Singh granted regular bail to Verma.

Verma`s counsel in the court pleaded that his client was a woman and was in jail since November last year.

He said, Verma was also not present in the house when cartridges were recovered. The investigation into the case was already complete and chargesheet had also been filed, he added.

Accepting the plea of Ms Verma`s counsel, the court granted her regular bail.
Additional public prosecutor Ajay Mishra opposed Ms Verma`s bail petition vehemently.
