Two held for selling banned lottery tickets

Puducherry, Mar 15 (UNI) Special Task Force (STF) police on Thursday evening arrested two persons at Andiyarpalayam near here on charges of online sale of banned lottery tickets.

According to police on Friday, STF got information that online sale of banned lottery is on at Andiyarpalayam and they conducted a raid in the area. They intercepted three with cell phones and selling lottery tickets. Two were arrested while one escaped.

The arrested were identified as Gunasekeran(40) of Villippuram, and Balachandran (27) of Andiyarpalayam.The absconder is identified as Kumaran of Andiyarpalayam.

The arrested persons were handed over to the Thirubhuvanai police station. Police seized two cell phones and a cash of Rs 6,400 from their possession. A Search is on to arrest Kumaran.
