Ranjitsinh Mohite Patil joins Bharatiya Janata Party
Mumbai, Mar 20 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ranjitsinh Mohite-Patil joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)) in presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and party state president Rao Saheb Danve here on Wednesday.
The step of Patil, son of former Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Singh Mohite Patil is being considered as a major setback for NCP chief Sharad Pawar, as Mohite Patil is having a political hold in Solapur district of Maharashtra.
Vijaysinh Mohite Patil is NCP’s Lok Sabha member from Madha constituency while Ranjeet Singh is a Rajya Sabha member of the NCP.
Talking to mediapersons, Ranjit said that he was disappointed with the top NCP leadership.
