Paharia killed over suspected witchcraft in Pakur

Pakur Mar 23 ( UNI) A man belonging to the primitive pahariya tribe was killed over suspected witchcraft in Gadi Surma village under Littipara police station area of this district.

The deceased has been identified as Rupa Paharia (55). A fir in this regard has been lodged at the police station by his wife. Later the body was sent for postmortem to Sadar Hospital.

The woman in her complaint said that about a dozen men with sticks had attacked her husband due to which he died on the spot.

Police said that raids were being conducted to arrest the culprits.
