Kolkata, Mar 27 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister and AITC supremo Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday demanded a judicial probe by a Supreme Court judge into the noteban of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currencies.

Releasing the party's election manifesto for the coming Lok Sabha poll, Banerjee said they would focus on eradicating unemployment in India and frame policies for farmers and women empowerment, among other things.

She said, "Each state has its own sentiment and own issues, " while releasing the manifesto from the party office at Kalighat.

"The next government will be based on a common minimum programme," Banerjee said.

She said her party will focus on farmers' issues and demanded a probe into demonetisation in 2016.

The TMC supremo demanded a judicial inquiry by a Supreme Court judge into demonetisation.
