Nawada, Mar 27 (UNI/IBNS): Leader of the opposition in Bihar assembly Tejaswi Prasad Yadav on Wednesday took pot shot at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for projecting himself as Chowkidar saying if he is Chowkidaar, common man of the country is Thanedar and they would punish him by exercising their franchise in upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Yadav, addressing a public meeting seeking votes in favour of RJD candidate Vibha Devi here for Lok Sabha election, said that Prime Minister Modi was projecting himself as Chowkidaar to make people believe that everything was going on the right track in the country and government fund was being properly used without any trace of manipulation.

It was noticed that instead of keeping close vigil on government exchequer, Modi was engaged in looting it for big corporate houses of the country, he noted.

"People have understood the true face of Mr Modi and if he is Chowkidar, the common man is Thanedar and they would punish him by exercising their franchise in upcoming Lok Sabha elections," Yadav said, adding that premier central agencies like Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Income Tax (IT) were being misused as cell of BJP.

The first phase of the Lok Sabha election will begin on Apr 11. The election will continue in seven phases till May 19.

The poll results will be declared on May 23.
