BJP rebel Shatrughan Sinha to join Congress on Apr 6

INDIA BLOOMS NEWS SERVICE | @indiablooms | 28 Mar 2019, 11:58 am

New Delhi, Mar 28 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rebel Shatrughan Sinha is all set to join the Congress party on Apr 6.

Actor-turned politician Sinha, a Lok Sabha MP from Bihar, met Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Thursday.

Speculation of Sinha joining the Congress has been rife after he was dropped for the Patna Sahib Lok Sabha seat, from where he is a sitting MP, by the BJP.

The party has named Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad as its nominee.

Sinha, who had criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his own party on a number of issues, even had attended West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's anti-BJP rally in Kolkata on Jan 19.
