Lok Sabha Poll: Shivpal files nomination from Ferozabad

Ferozabad, Mar 30 (UNI) Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party Lohia (PSPL) founder Shivpal Singh Yadav on Saturday filed his nominations from Ferozabad Lok Sabha seat.

Ferozabad seat is going for an interesting battle of ballots within the Yadav family for the first time when Shivpal is pitted against SP sitting candidate Akshay Yadav, his nephew and son of Prof. Ram Gopal Yadav.


Shivpal reached his party office at 1100 hours and after worshipping st the Balaji temple at Sikhobad, he went to the collectorate to file his nomination papers along with Senior leaders of his party.


Addressing a public meeting in his constituency after filing of the nomination, Shivpal, who is MLA from Jaswantnagar segment under the Ferozabad Lok Sabha seat, said his main fight will be with BJP.


" My party is fighting against the BJP in the entire state and will defeat them," he said.


" The people of the Ferozabad constituency are fighting on my behalf and there is no such contest with his nephew Akshay Yadav, " Shivpal claimed.


Claiming that he has the blessings of SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav, Shivpal said Netaji will win by a landslide margin from Mainpuri seat.
