Fodder scam: Supreme Court to hear Lalu Prasad's bail plea on Apr 10
New Delhi, Apr 5 (IBNS): The Supreme Court has said it will hear the bail plea of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad, who is serving a jail term related to multi-crore fodder scam cases, on Apr 10, media reports said.
The top court asked Lalu's lawyer Kapil Sibal to file a bail plea by Apr 9.
The plea will be heard on Apr 10, the apex court said.
Earlier on Jan 10, the Jharkhand High Court had dismissed the bail plea of Lalu, who is the Rashtriya Janata Dal chief.
Sibal, who is appearing for the former Bihar Chief Minister, sought an urgent hearing.
Lalu had fraudulently withdrawn money from the treasuries of Animal Husbandry department in 1990s when he was the Bihar Chief Minister.
