Minister CP Singh accuses senior Congress leaders of having link with ultras
Ranchi, Apr 6 (UNI) Jharkhand's Urban Development Minister C P Singh today accused the senior Congress leaders of the state of having links with a dreaded ultra belonging to the Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC).
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here, the minister said dreaded TPC regional commander Neeraj Ganjhu alias Neeraj Bhagat who has been accused of many serious crimes including murder, extortion and arsoning and against whom twice action has been taken under CCA is now sitting in the company of the senior Congress leaders of the state including JPCC Dr Ajay Kumar, leader of legislature wing of Congress party Aalamgir Aalam and former Union Minister Subodhkant Sahai.
"We have received information that this man is vying for a Congress ticket to contest from Kanke seat of the state assembly," he said adding that Ganjhu has considerable influence in TPC dominated areas of Hazaribagh and Chatra Lok Sabha seat.
The minister also shared to the press the photographs in which Ganjhu was found sitting or posing for photographs with these leaders.
Singh said, Ganjhu had been recently released from jail and is now trying to make his political foray.
The minister alleged that the Congress party has plenty of such types of elements while some of them are known faces while others are unknown.
Singh said, the Congress party should tell as to whether the party wants to take the help of extremists to win the elections.
He said that incident has brought to open the real character of the Congress party and the people of the state will teach a lesson to them in the upcoming elections.
To a query, he said that the Congress party since the days of unified Bihar has been taking the support of the ultras to win the elections and in return the party is providing cover to such elements.
To another query, surrounding state BJP president Laxman Giluwa whose photograph surfaced with an ultra he said on behalf of Mr Giluwa he wanted to say that if any connection is proved between the man and Mr Giluwa then the state BJP president will take retirement from politics and added that any agency was free to investigate the charges.
