Manipur police seize huge quantity of WY tablets worth Rs 25 lakh along Indo-Myanmar border

Guwahati, April 13 (IBNS): The Manipur police seized a huge quantity of contraband drugs worth Rs 25 lakh in Manipur’s Tengnoupal district along Indo-Myanmar border on Friday.

According to the reports, based on intelligence input, a team of Tengnoupal district police had launched operation at Shiva gate of Moreh ward No 4 along Indo-Myanmar border and recovered the contraband drugs packed in a plastic bag.

A Myanmar national had carried drugs in a plastic bag and illegally entered into India.

When the police team tried to chase him, he threw the plastic bag and run towards Myanmar.

The police found 100 packets of WY tablets containing 10,160 pieces of WY tablets.

The seized WY tablets were deposited to Moreh police station for further investigation.
