Get masterkey of governance is to fulfill Dr Ambedkar's dream: BSP chief Mayawati

Lucknow, Apr 14 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati reiterated her call to get the master key of the governance, to achieve the dream of Dr B R Ambedkar on his 128th birth anniversary, paying rich tribute to the leader.

Mayawati, who is touring different parts of the country, canvassing for the ongoing Lok Sabha polls, was campaigning in Chhattisgarh on Sunday.

In a statement here, the BSP chief said that as elections were underway and the Model Code of Conduct was in force hence, she did not visit the Ambedkar Sthal here in the state capital Ranchi, to pay her tribute.

"Instead, I gave Baba Sahab floral tribute at the statue installed in my residence," she added.

"It is my appeal on the day, that the dream of Baba Saheb could be fulfilled, if the master key of the governance comes in the hands of BSP by winning the elections," she said.

However, she slammed BJP national president Amit Shah for his statement that BSP only remembers Dr Ambedkar, during the anniversaries.

"BSP is the only party, which works on the ideology and morals of Dr Ambedkar 365 days in a year and has even launched a movement to fulfill the dream of Baba Saheb," she said.

The BSP president, instead asked BJP that when they are so concerned with Dr Ambedkar, then why during their regime, most of the statues of the Dalit leader are damaged and the government does nothing to prevent such incidences.
