MHA seeks report on Bangladeshi actor Ferdous Ahmad campaigning for TMC

New Delhi, Apr 16 (UNI) Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Tuesday sought explanation from Kolkata Foreign Regional Registration Office about the violation of Visa condition of Bangladeshi actor Ferdous Ahmad who was allegedly campaigning for Trinamool Congress in Raiganj in West Bengal.

According to a MHA source, the Kolkata FRRO was asked to send report how the Bangladeshi actor who is came to India on business, has allegedly addressing a public rally in Raiganj and seen seeking votes for TMC candidate Kanhayalal Agarwal.


The West Bengal BJP has filed a complaint to Election Commission in this regard saying that it is clear cut violation of Model Code of Conduct.
