Pune: Congress releases manifesto by professional 'chowkidar'

Pune, Apr 16 (UNI): The city unit of the Congress party on Tuesday released its manifesto at the hands of real 'chowkidar' (watchman) here.

While holding the manifesto in his hand, Mohammed Ismail Sheikh, who works as a security guard of a society, expressed his pain about Mr Modi's so-called 'Mai Bhi Chowkidar Hu' remark.

He wondered whether Mr Modi is the 'chowkidar' for only Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi, Gautam Adani and the Ambanis.

Talking to reporters, Congress candidate for Pune Mohan Joshi affirmed that 'Chowkidar Modi' is a "chor" (thief) and described Mr Sheikh, who works 12 hours a day to eke out his living, is a real chowkidar of the country.

He said that the role of chowkidar is to guard and maintain safety of their society, but Mr Modi was fooling and misleading the people of the country by claiming himself as chowkidar, he added.
