Mehbooba questions BJP's fielding of Sadhvi Pragya Thakur from Bhopal
Srinagar, Apr 17 (UNI) Questioning BJP for fielding Sadhvi Pragya Thakur from Bhopal Parliamentary Constituency (PC), former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said that if her party had fielded any terror accused, the TV channels would have gone berserk by now, trending a 'mehboobaterrorist' hashtag.
She also took a dig at BJP leaders, for alleging that Congress was behind the recent statement by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who wanted Narendra Modi to get a second term, to resolve all issues between the two countries.
The president of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) further expressed concern over the reports that the chemicals being used by the Armed forces during encounters, were disfiguring the bodies of people.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mufti said: "Imagine the anger if I'd field a terror accused. Channels would've gone berserk by now trending a mehboobaterrorist hashtag! According to these guys terror has no religion when it comes to saffron fanatics but otherwise all Muslims are terrorists. Guilty until proven innocent."
She was reacting to a tweet, which read 'You want to know what is the difference between Bjp & other parties. No other party would be as toxic as to field a terror accused.

In another tweet, she said: "What a vivid imagination. Yes and the rest of the Cong leaders control the Pakistani establishment like Bran the warg from Game of Thrones.'"

She was reacting to statement of BJP leaders, including Defence Minister Nirmala Sitaraman, who had said: "There have been many eminent leaders of the Congress who went to Pakistan to seek help to oust Prime Minister Narendra Modi."
Reacting to the tweet, which said 'Disturbing video of armed forces assaulting people carrying body of killed militant appears on Social Media,' Mufti said "Every human, even a militant deserves dignity after death. Armed forces use of chemicals in encounters disfiguring their bodies is inhuman. Imagine the emotions that’ll overcome a boy who sees his brother’s mutilated charred body. Would you be surprised if he picked up a gun?"
