Chandigarh, Apr 20 (UNI) Haryana Police has arrested three most wanted criminals, carrying a total reward of Rs 1.30 lakh on their arrests, in separate incidents from Palwal district.
Four illegal pistols and 11 live cartridges were also recovered from the arrested criminals, identified as Shakeel alias Kala Pehalwan, Salauddin and Aarif alias Chuttli. a Police department Spokesperson said here on Saturday.
Shakeel and Salauddin carried a reward of Rs one lakh and Rs 25,000, respectively on their arrest, whereas a bounty of Rs 5,000 had been announced for Aarif.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Crime Investigation Agency and Anti-Vehicle Theft arrested Shakeel, resident of village Kot in Palwal, following a raid.
The police team also recovered two country-made pistols and eight live cartridges from him. He was wanted in at least nine criminal cases and was declared a proclaimed offender.
In another case, a team of Anti-Vehicle Theft, Hathin, nabbed Salauddin from Guraksar-Khilluka road. Several criminal cases, including robbery, kidnapping and illegal arms, were registered in Palwal, Faridabad, Nuh and Agra in Uttar Pradesh, against him.
A reward of Rs 25,000 was announced on his head. A country-made pistol and one live cartridge was also recovered from him.
In another incident, the Crime Investigation Agency arrested wanted criminal Aarif during a raid from Mithaka T-Point near Utaward Chowk in Palwal. A reward of Rs 5000 was announced on his arrest.
He was involved in as many as 11 cases of loot, robbery and cow slaughter, registered in Haryana and Rajasthan. A desi pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from his possession.
