New Delhi, Apr 23 (UNI): BJP on Tuesday fielded actor Sunny Deol from Gurdaspur and renominated sitting MP Kirron Kher from Chandigarh seat in Punjab, according to the fresh list released by the party on Tuesday.

Mr Som Prakash is the party candidate from Hoshiarpur (SC) Constituency. He replaces sitting MP Vijay Sampla.

BJP MP Vinod Khanna won the Gurdaspur seat in 2014 and after his death, Sunil Jakhar of the Congress won the Lok Sabha bypolls from the constituency.

Sitting MP and veteran actress Kirron s Kher beat Pawan Kumar Bansal of the Congress in 2014. This time, she will be fighting him again from the Chandigarh seat.

Mr Som Prakash is pitted against Congress' sitting MLA Raj Kumar Chhabewal on Hoshiarpur seat.

Earlier, ending all speculations, Bollywood actor Sunny Deol joined the saffron party, days after he met party president Amit Shah.

Sunny Deol joined the party in presence of Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Piyush Goyal at the party headquarters here.

"'The way my papa worked with and supported Atal ji, I am here today to work with and support Modi ji," said the Gadar actor.
