Sri Lanka serial bomb blasts: Bodies of people from Karnataka arrive at airport
Bengaluru, Apr 24 (UNI) The bodies of those killed in the serial bomb blast in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on April 21, brought by special flight at Kempegowda International Airport here, according to the Deputy Secretary State Protocol Vijay Mahantesh, who is also the Director of the State Hospitality Organisation.
While the body of Shettipalya Ramakrishnappa Nagaraj reached by Sri Lankan Airlines UL 171 last night at 2000 hrs, the Mortal remains of four other victims Kachana Halli Govindappa Hanumantharayappa, Kachana Halli Munibyrappa Lakshminarayana, Muniyappa Rangappa and Hanumaiah Shivakumar arrived by Sri Lankan Airlines UL 173 in the early hours of Wednesday.
The bodies of Ramesh, Adakamaranahalli Mare Gowda and Harokyatanahalli Puttaraju is expected to arrive any time today.
Meanwhile, seriously injured Purushotham who arrived by Air Ambulance from Colombo, was immediately shifted to Manipal Hospital from the Airport and the traffic police maintained Zero Traffic upto Hospital.
The deaths of Narayan Chandrashekhar and Remurai Tulasi Ram have been confirmed but more details are not available, according to official series.
All the victims, most of them JDS leaders, went to Sri Lanka as pleasure trip after hectic election activities after the first phase elections in Karnataka (second phase in the country) on April 18.
