Ranchi, Apr 28 (UNI) The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha today alleged that their acting president and leader of opposition Hemant Soren has received threats from the maoists who have asked him not to remain in the state till the Lok Sabha polls are over.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here, JMM general secretary and spokesperson Binod Pandey said it appears that by seeing the victory of Mahagathbandhan candidates on all 14 Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand, the BJP has collaborated with the maoists following which Hemant Soren has got this letter in which not only him but other candidates of the JMM have been asked to back down.

Showing the contents of the letter, Mr Pandey said this letter was delivered at the Harmu colony house of Mr Soren. He claimed that a similar kind of letter was also sent to former chief minister and JVM(P) supremo Babulal Marandi who too had demanded a probe, however by the contents of the letter it is clear that BJP is adopting to such tricks as it is going to lose on all the 14 seats.

Mr Pandey said the party has already spoken to Ranchi SSP over the issue and is also going to lodge an FIR in this regard.

He said, the JMM wants the state government and the administration to take the matter seriously and take action against the culprits. The letter has been written on a letter pad belonging to a lawyer Avinash Kumar Sinha, hailing from Barmasia of Giridih district.
