Srinagar, May 1 (UNI): Reacting to listing of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Masood Azhar as global terrorist by the United Nation Security Council (UNSC), former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said that it was amazing how quickly the sacrifices of the CRPF men were sold down the river to get a symbolic win.

National Conference vice president said: "There was no mention of terror in Kashmir and no mention of Pulwama fidayeen attack in which 44 CRPF personnel were killed and several injured on February 14 at Awantipora."

On Twitter, Abdullah said: "No mention of terror in Kashmir & no mention of Pulwama. It’s amazing how quickly the sacrifices of the CRPF men were sold down the river to get a symbolic win."

He also retweeted journalist Suhasini Hyder which says: "UNSC listing refers to Azhar's terror role in 1990s, IC-814 hijacking, links to Al Qaeda, Osama & Taliban, and call to recruit Jihadis for Afghanistan, but no reference to Pulwama or Kashmir in the listing. US, UK, France original proposal had Pulwama, so it has clearly been dropped."

Earlier, Omar had tweeted: "Is this true that the listing of #MasoodAzhar as a global terrorist was only possible because all references to Pulwama & terrorism in Kashmir were dropped?"
