New Delhi, May 5 (UNI): Reacting to Rahul's tweet that the 'Karma' awaited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP on Sunday asserted that dynasts of the Congress were afraid of the truth which is why the Congress president and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra have time and again hurled abuses on the PM.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar while addressing a press conference here said: "They are afraid that BJP's record is cleaner than theirs (uski kameez merei kameez se safed kaise hai)."

"The abuses being hurled by Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi on the most popular Prime Minister reflects dynastic arrogance. Instead of answering the questions raised, they are seen continuously abusing the PM," he added.

The minister said: "...today also when the Prime Minister told a truth, they (Rahul and Priyanka) were not able to take it in their stride, in fact they are unable to face it."

Talking about 1984 anti-Sikh riots, Mr Javadekar questioned former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's statement where he had said, 'When big trees fall, Earth shakes'.

Earlier on Sunday, Congress president Rahul Gandhi tweeted his reaction to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remarks that the life of his father Rajiv Gandhi had ended as "corrupt number 1". He said: "Modi ji, the battle is over. Your Karma awaits you. Projecting your inner beliefs about yourself onto my father won’t protect you. All my love and a huge hug. Rahul."

'The tweet by Rahul came a day after the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a rally in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, said that the life of his father, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, ended as "corrupt number 1".

PM Modi also referred to the Congress chief's incessant attacks on him alleging corruption in the Rafale jet deal, saying Mr Gandhi's only aim was to tarnish his image.

"Your father was termed 'Mr Clean' by his courtiers, but his life ended as 'Bhrashtachari No 1' (corrupt number 1)," PM Modi had said in the rally .
