Attack on Dilip Ghosh: BJP alleges CEO in Kolkata has turned into TMC office
Kolkata, May 8 (UNI) BJP's senior leader Joyprakash Majumder on Wednesday alleged that the Chief Electoral Office (CEO) in Kolkata has virtually turnedinto a TMC office saying the report of attack on party president Dilip Ghosh at Khejuri on Tuesday was prepared inside a TMC party office.
After emerging out of the CEO here, Majumder told reporters that a police report on the attack on Mr Ghosh was prepared inside a TMC office.
He said they submitted a memorandum to the CEO highlighting the attack on Dilip Ghosh on Tuesday afternoon at Khejuri while he was moving forelectioneering.
" We gave details about the attack on Ghosh" he said terming it as an attack on democracy, which has been done by the ruling Trinamool Congressin collusion with government machineries.
He alleged that besides Ghosh, party's central Hemant Biswakarma was there in the convoy and if they had no Z plus security, the duo would havekilled by the TMC goons, which was headed by TMC MLA Ranjit Mondal.
He also accused the police of remaining a mute spectator while attackson the BJP leaders were being pre-planned.The attacks continued for nearly three hours,he added.The BJP also demanded removal of the District Magistrate, SP and IC of East Medinipur before the 6h phase polling on May 12.
