Cochin: CISF detects 22,000 Saudi Riyal from a passenger in airport
New Delhi, May 12 (UNI) The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Saturday detected 22,000 Saudi Riyal worth Rs 5,00,000 concealed in pocket of a passenger at Cochin Airport, CISF official said here on Sunday.
On May 11, the passenger identified as Abdul Salem who was to fly to Kuala Lumpur, the CISF personnel detected that Salem was carrying 22,000 Saudi Riyal.
“On enquiry, he could not produce any valid document for carrying such high volume of foreign currency”, CISF spokesperson Hemendra Singh told UNI.
Later the said passenger was handed over to Custom officials for further legal action, Singh added.
