Uttar Pradesh: Two killed in road mishap in Auraiyya

Auraiyya, May 22 (UNI) Two people were killed and a woman sustained critical injuries after an unidentified vehicle rammed into a moped in the Ajitmal police station area of this district in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday morning.

According to the police, Ashok Kumar (50), a resident of Poora in Garha Kasda of the Etawah district had gone to Hawiliya at her daughter Manju (24)'s in-laws's house along with Lekhnath aka Beetu (28).

On Wednesday, when was returning along with his daughter and friend to his home. As soon as they approached Kulrua Bamba after crossing Atsu town in the Ajitmal police station area, an unidentified vehicle hit their moped and all three were critically injured.

Upon receiving information from passers-by, 108 ambulance reached the spot and admitted the injured to the Community Health Center where the doctors declared Ashok Kumar and Lekhnath as brought dead.

On the other hand, after administering primary treatment to Manju, they referred her to Saifai, considering her critical condition.

After filling the 'panchnama,' police have sent the dead bodies for postmortem.
