Mumbai, Ma 25 (IBNS): Immigrant authorities on Saturday offloaded cash-strapped Jet Airlines former chairman Naresh Goyal and his wife Anita Goyal from an Emirates flight, media reports said.

According to reports, they were on their way to Dubai from Mumbai.

"The aircraft had pushed back for departure when  it was called back by the Mumbai immigration team
citing some issues with immigration clearance and the two passengers were asked to disembark," sources told The Times of India.

"The flight was further delayed as the airline had to unload the check-in bags of the passengers who were offloaded," sources told the newspaper.

Sources told India Today that a look-out-circular was issued against Naresh Goyal, his family members, and others so that they cannot flee the country. The SFIO (Serious Fraud Investigation Office) and ED (Enforcement Directorate) are inquiring into Jet Airways cases.

The ED, according to told the magazine, is examining Etihad Airways investment in Jet Privilege Private Limited.

Sources also told the magazine that the agency believes that certain and whether there were any violations of Foreign Direct Investment May have taken place when the Emirates took a stake in JPPL in 2014.

On Apr 17, Jet Airways temporarily suspended its flight operations.

The Jet Airways has been facing a mounting debt of more than Rs 8,000 crore.
