PM Modi takes oath for second time, Amit Shah joins cabinet

New Delhi, May 30 (IBNS): After registering a thumping victory at the recently concluded Lok Sabha election, Narendra Modi on Thursday evening took oath as the Prime Minister of India for the second time.

President Ram Nath Kovind is administering the oath of office.

Along with Modi, Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah also took the oath at the grand swearing-in ceremony being held at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

According to reports, around 8,000 guests including world leaders, dignitaries, politicians, celebrities and industrialists are attending the occasion.

The swearing-in ceremony is being attended by Congress president Rahul Gandhi and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi among others.

The NDA this time has a strength of 353 MPs in the 543-member Lok Sabha. The BJP alone has 303 MPs.
