Governors of five states call on Home Minister Amit Shah
New Delhi, June 10 (UNI): The Governors of five States on Monday called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah and apprised him of the situation in their respective states.
West Bengal Governor Kesari Nath Tripathi appraised him about the prevailing situation in the state which continues to witness clashes between the cadres of Trinamool Congress and BJP.
The others who met Shah were Tamil Nadu Governor Banwari Lal Purohit, Telangana Governor ESL Narsimhan, also in-charge Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu and Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brigadier BD Mishra (retd).
All the Governors met Shah separately and the Home Ministry officials described these meeting as courtesy call on the new Home Minister who took charge on June 1.
